Project Laduma Learners

In 2008 our cellars nominated previously disadvantaged individuals to attend a two week introductory wine course, with specific reference to act as wine stewards during soccer's World Cup 2010. The initiative was co-sponsored by Wines of South Africa and the Cape Winelands District Municipality.

This year Breedekloof successfully negotiated funding from the Department of Economic Affairs and Tourism to enrol these individuals in a 10 week wine evaluation course, facilitated by Getsmart and accredited by the University of Stellenbosch.

By capacitating these employees, we hope to offer 2010 tourists a wonderful experience when visiting our region.
